Well Saturday is upon us and I have to work most of the day. I think that is good as it so hot here. I cant wait for it to cool down soon.
Carl is going to mow the lawn today and I well work is calling my name!!!!!
Sad thing last night a 35 yr old male had a stroke and didnt call 911 in time and now he is paralysed and cant talk..... Very sad.....
Well talk on folks. Im going back to bed for a few minutes.

working this morning then mom and i are going to some birthday luncheon for some friend of hers- someone she hasn't seen in years- can we say feel out of place????

Can't say much for today...it hasn't really started yet. I did the Farmville thing already and my neck hurts...too much computer..
Had my Friday night date.. Leave work...head straight for Williams Sonoma in Highland Park Village (where all the old money rich people and wannabe's live), then across the street to STARBUCKS to get my iced coffee and read the paper.. well, that didnt' happen last night... there was a woman there named Dahlia from Poland..she's a literary professor at SMU and a hypnotherapist...and Shoddy...she's a doctor of dermatology.. and we sat for two hours while "I" listened to things I didn't know existed... Shoddy is Persian.. oh and such a love.. anyway..I'm all literated out today... and have seen some nasty rashes in Shoddy's book..:) Then on to Tom Thumb for my grocery shopping.. their clearance meats are usually reg price 9.99 lb.. I pay $1.99. They have nothing but the best cuts and put them 50-75% off.. and I grab what I want.. last night got chicken kabobs for $1.50 total..will be a good mean for me... then came home and FARMED.
Today, as soon as I get my clothes on, will be ... ta da...Starbucks.

It's one of those gray days here.....drizzle of rain and promises of possible storms later as a small cold front moves thru -- what a laugh, it's gonna be hotter here tomorrow than today -- what cold front!?#@
Have to clean house this morning -- there is cat hair everywhere.
Otherwise, no real plans. Got a subscription to Diabetic Cooking magazine and the recipes are wonderful. Gonna make a dish with turkey Italian sausage/white beans/and fire roasted tomatoes -- may throw in some zucchini that needs to be used as well.....hope it's good!
Really starting to realize it's less than 3 wks till my trip -- woo hoo.
Was reading over the itinerary this morning -- sounds like we're gonna see lots of Germany. The only place we stay 2 nites is Berlin.
Iced coffee sound good, Janet -- think I'll go put a pot on to have later.....much too warm to drink the hot stuff.

I am ignoring housework. Tom and I are taking a ride around the lake.
Maybe the cats will run the vacuum since they made the mess? Tom eats peanuts then leaves the shells on the coffee table. By morning the shells are all over the living room. Can't train any of them to pick up their messes. Even my 6'4" brat.

I like the idea of the cats running the vacuum ... but I don't think Scooter would cooperate because he's terrified of the vacuum ... too loud. He doesn't like loud noises ... even my coughing or sneezing sends him running ... the refrigerator motor going on scares him.
I want a Roomba ... you know, one of the robot vacuums. Except right now I have so much crap lying around because I'm still unpacking it would never find its way around the apartment. Ah well, some day I'll finish ... just in time to pack and move again to Des Moines.

My son, Mike, found a Roomba at Goodwill. It needed cleaning. He cleaned it up and it works like a champ. As soon as I get the crap out of my house, I'm going to get it. He already had one... he named it Bruce. Bruce does a great job... Mike has a bird and Bruce picks up all the feathers and bird seed hulls.
102 today. I've already watered. Managed to eat a whole pie crust.. can you say carbs? I'm out of control.
Think I need a nap. Can you say CARBS, again???
I'm hoping you aren't moving to Des Moines anytime soon.

Supposedly they're moving us out in two years ... these RDC (regional design centers) will be in five cities: Des Moines, Phoenix, Indianapolis, Nashville and Asbury Park, NJ. I actually vote Phoenix ... yes, it's hotter but it's a dry heat and might be easier on my joints and allergies. This humidity is really hard on my asthma.
I need a nap too and I just got up.
